Shiba Inu ($SHIB) Comes To “The World’s Longest Running Crypto Exchange”
The world’s running crypto exchange, Bistamp, has enlisted the meme-inspired cryptocurrency, Shiba Inu ($SHIB) after initially planning on doing so back in December of last year. The exchange’s announcement saying it would support SHIB included other assets that are already listed, including dYdX ($DYDX), Gala ($GALA), and Perpetual Protocol ($PERP).
The exchange was founded in 2011, got registered in the UK in 2013, and in Luxembourg in 2014. It has “a global team of around 400 people” based in offices in the UK, Luxembourg, USA, Singapore, and Slovenia. It is available to people in over 100 countries and currently has over four million users around the world.

Bitstamp first announced it was listing SHIB in a blog post on December 8th, 2021, and previously started permitting deposits before listing the next day. Around six hours later, it delivered some bad news to $SHIB fans, noting it ran into technical issues that would force it to delay the launch.
Bitstamp could have been the 100th cryptocurrency trading platform to list the meme-inspired cryptocurrency, but that position ultimately went to the Middle Eastern crypto trading platform.
In a blog post announcing the new listing, Bistamp noted Shiba Inu is a project “which started as utterly light-hearted, boasting a pretty picture of a dog, but now has an incredibly large and vibrant community behind it.” The post adds:
As its popularity grew, so did the requests from our Bitstamp community to have the token listed on our exchange. So, you, too, can now become a proud owner of SHIBA INU and a representative of the ShibArmy. (excluding the U.S. and Singapore for now)
The listing comes as Shiba Inu’s adoption keeps on increasing. Earlier this month famous-style fast-food restaurant chain, Chipotle.
More also, Brazilian football club São Paulo FC started accepting cryptocurrency payments via the Latin American cryptocurrency trading platform Bitso. Among the assets it accepts are meme-inspired currencies like Dogecoin ($DOGE) and Shiba Inu.

Shiba Inu can now be used to book supercars like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Rolls-Royce, McLaren, Aston Martin, and Bugatti on Travala.
Crypto-friendly travel website Travala initially added support for the Shiba Inu cryptocurrency in December last year, allowing SHIB to be used as a payment method on its website. Aside from this, SHIB can also be used to book more than three million travel products worldwide on the site, including flights, hotels, and travel packages.
Shiba Inu can now be accepted by thousands of restaurants in more than 65 countries as Lavu and Verifone announce a new collaboration.
Lavu, global restaurant software and payments solution provider, and Verifone, a payment solution provider, have disclosed a new cross-distribution partnership that will integrate Lavu’s restaurant software suite with Verifone’s payment solutions, thus benefiting both Lavu and Verifone customers.
