As gotten from the Twitter page of Digital Euro Association, DEA on Tuesday, it was stated that Ripple, is one of the sponsors of its summer festival which will start next week.
The DEA focused on contributing to the digital euro discourse through research and education and in February, they gained the support of the payment giant and blockchain firm, Ripple as the only one ranked as a “Supporting Gold Member.”
“We are excited to join the Digital Euro Association as a supporting partner to further develop our work in the CBDC area. The DEA is working across Europe and global markets to drive the development and growth of CBDCs and, specifically, the Digital Euro,” said VP of Central Bank Engagements at Ripple James Wallis at the time.
Earlier this month, the CDBC hackathon which was entitled Ripple CDBC Innovate was launched by Ripple with an initial $47,000 prize pool and a surplus of $150,000 at an exclusive winner-only event.
The blockchain company, Ripple has been a long-time supporter of the CDBCs. And good to know that apart from its collaboration with the DEA, they also partner with Digital Pound Association in 2021.
Legal Expert, Hogan Commend The XRPL In Columbia
Also, legal expert Jeremy Hogan says the idea to use the XRPL in Columbia’s land registry system is a “huge” accomplishment.
In the same tweets, Hogan stated; “So, although boring, the XRPL/Columbia partnership is the perfect example of crypto UTILITY.
An immutable (I love this word for some reason) record of land registration, timestamped, searchable, and inherently trustworthy – it’s the perfect use case for a blockchain ledger.”
He also said the land registration process is presently hard, time-consuming, and inefficient.
“Ponder how the transfer of land is accomplished. The purchaser/buyer must be noted, what title is being transferred, and the actual property being conveyed must be described.

Three days ago, Columbia collaborated with a Ripple-based solution for land registry on July 1st, 2022. This was the first of its kind, it is the first National Land Registry on the XRPL for Columbians and was developed by Peersyst Technology in collaboration with Ripple.
It was officially announced on the @peersyst Twitter page, that a team of blockchain developers with the support of Ripple, has introduced the first national land registry on the XRPL.
