SHIB Announces the Opening of Shiba Inu Themed Restaurant
In a recent post, Welly Friends announced the grand opening of its second Shiba Inu-themed restaurant in Reggio Emilia. The official X handle of Welly shared a video showcasing the event, while the Shiba Inu ecosystem’s X handle also joined in to celebrate and congratulate everyone involved.
The new store is part of a franchise agreement between Welly and its partner in Reggio Emilia. Equipped with 40 indoor dining seats and Welly to-go options, the restaurant was designed by the acclaimed architecture studio MASQUESPACIO, with input from the Shiba Inu community.

Looking ahead, Welly is preparing to expand its operations to various Italian regions and other global locations, including the United States. Gianmaria D’Aniello, Welly’s spokesperson, expressed excitement about bringing the unique experience to new locations.
Expansion Plan
This expansion plan follows Welly’s initial announcement to open two community-linked stores and its partnership with Shiba Inu. Established in 2021 as a Web3 fast food restaurant in Naples, Italy, Welly granted Shiba Inu 15% ownership in 2022, leading to a rebranding of its operations and design, including the integration of the SHIB mascot into its logo. Additionally, the partnership involves Welly’s integration with Shibarium, Shiba Inu’s Layer-2 blockchain.

In support of Shiba Inu’s ecosystem, Welly is committed to reducing SHIB’s circulating supply through a burn campaign. As part of this commitment, the restaurant plans to burn SHIB using percentages from franchise fees and net profits, aiming to reduce circulating supply and potentially increase the token’s long-term value. To date, the community and individuals have burned 410.72 trillion SHIB tokens through the Shibburn initiative.
