Breaking: Cardano Gears Up for Chang With New Upgrade
Cardano (ADA), a Proof-of-Stake (PoS) layer 1 blockchain, recently introduced a significant upgrade, termed v6.5.0, which is compatible with Cardano node 9.0.0. This Ogmios upgrade brings a new ledger state query for the protocol’s treasury and reserves, along with new protocol parameters focusing on the new reference script fee and max size. The aim of these updates is to alleviate potential bottlenecks and further the push toward complete decentralization.
Unveiling New Achievement
The upgrade also addresses issues such as the termination and clean up of the “fixed transaction evaluation internal client,” which previously led to active connections piling up over time and slowing down the network.

Cardano’s ultimate goal is decentralization, and the upcoming Voltaire era, which is set to begin this month, will mark a significant milestone in achieving this aim. In this era, the community will take charge of the treasury, with the Interim Constitutional Committee (ICC) playing a partial management role. This move positions Cardano as a leading blockchain protocol with a strong emphasis on complete decentralization.

The growth of Cardano’s decentralized ecosystem is intended to drive the growth of ADA. While ADA has experienced fluctuations in line with broader market trends, it is currently valued at $0.4082, reflecting a 1.63% increase in the past 24 hours. The trading volume has also surged by 30% to $345,026,580 during this period.
The introduction of new upgrades on Cardano seeks to have a long-term impact on ADA. As more updates are expected in the near future, it remains to be seen whether the positive trajectory of the coin will be sustained.
