Speculation Surrounds New Meme Coin Following Cardano Founder’s Hard Fork Proposal

However, discussions have already begun regarding the name of the subsequent hard fork after Chang. Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, humorously suggested “Tasseled Wobblegong Shark” as a potential name.

With Cardano nearing the Chang hard fork, named after early Cardano supporter Phil Chang, the community is already looking ahead to naming the next hard fork after Chang, which will mark Cardano’s transition into the Voltaire era, characterized by enhanced decentralization.
Following the Valentine hard fork in February 2023 and the Vasil hard fork in September 2022, community members are proposing names for the next hard fork after Chang. Interestingly, in a recent post, Hoskinson humorously suggested naming the next hard fork after a Tasseled Wobblegong Shark.

Rumours About the New Memecoin
Previously, a meme coin inspired by Hoskinson’s pet pig, NIKE, saw a significant surge in trading after he shared a picture of the animal. Similarly, a meme coin inspired by his pet parrot faced a sharp decline in price after Hoskinson clarified the parrot’s name. There are suggestions that the community could witness the introduction of a Tasseled Wobblegong Shark (TWS) meme coin. Some individuals have even initiated a countdown for such a launch.
Meanwhile, there is no known meme coin associated with the name Tasseled Wobblegong Shark (TWS). However, the possibility of a launch in the coming days remains strong, given the history of meme coin introductions within the Cardano ecosystem, with SNEK being the most successful one to date.
