Bitcoin (BTC) Reached a High of $57,000 Today and Altcoins are Holding On to their Gains
Today’s cryptocurrency market experienced a positive trend, with Bitcoin (BTC) holding steady at around $56,000 after briefly touching $57,000, and Ethereum (ETH) trading at approximately $2,500. Solana (SOL) saw an impressive 10% gain, while XRP also traded in the green zone.
The global crypto market capitalization increased by 1.66% to reach $2 trillion, although the total market volume dropped by 49.85% to $104.79 billion.

Bitcoin Price Trends
BTC’s price rose by 2.18% to $56,918.65 in the past 24 hours, with its low and high points at $54,486.22 and $57,287.44, respectively. Bitcoin’s dominance increased by 0.04% to reach 55.87%, while Bitcoin ETFs experienced $148.56 million in outflows as of August 6.
Ethereum Price Trends
ETH gained 0.71% to trade at $2,512.70, with 24-hour lows and highs at $2,418.96 and $2,553.58, respectively. BlackRock’s Ethereum ETF (ETHA) recorded inflows of $109.9 million as of August 6, contributing to Ethereum’s market cap of $302.5 billion.
Solana Price
Solana (SOL) saw a significant 10.50% increase, reaching $153.17. The coin’s 24-hour lows and highs were $136.69 and $151.84, with a market cap of $71.58 billion on the day.
XRP Price
XRP rose by 1.09% to trade at $0.5178, with lows and highs at $0.4961 and $0.5185, respectively.
Other Cryptocurrency Prices
Dogecoin (DOGE) increased by 1.44%, reaching $0.09975, while Shiba Inu (SHIB) jumped 0.65% to trade at $0.0000138. Additionally, PEPE, WIF, and FLOKI surged by 5%-20% during the day.
Top Gainers and Losers
Several cryptocurrencies experienced notable gains, including Cat in a Dogs World (MEW) with a 17.46% surge to $0.005932, Notcoin (NOT) gaining 16.79% to $0.01188, and Zcash (ZEC) soaring 13.43% to $33.92. On the downside, Akash Network (AKT), Maker (MKR), Brett (BRETT), and OKB (OKB) experienced losses ranging from 1.33% to 4.21%.
