Ripple Announces That It Now Funding More Than 45 Universities And Over 1000 Researched Projects
Ripple, the blockchain-based payment technology company, has announced that it is now funding more than 45 universities and over 1,000 research projects around the world. This initiative aims to promote the development of blockchain and cryptocurrency-related technologies and provide support for the next generation of industry leaders.

Ripple Is Now Funding Over 45 Universities
Ripple’s University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI) was launched in 2018 and has since grown to support universities and research projects in more than 30 countries. The initiative aims to provide academic institutions with financial and technical resources, as well as access to Ripple’s network and technology, to support the development of innovative blockchain and cryptocurrency projects.
According to Ripple, the UBRI program has already led to the creation of new courses and programs focused on blockchain technology, as well as the development of new blockchain-based solutions in a variety of industries, including finance, healthcare, and supply chain management.

Some of the universities that are part of the UBRI program include the University of Tokyo, the University of California at Berkeley, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), among others. Ripple has also partnered with a number of industry organizations and initiatives, including the Blockchain Association and the Crypto Valley Association.
Commenting on the announcement, Eric van Miltenburg, Ripple’s Senior Vice President of Global Operations, said: “We’re thrilled to see the momentum of UBRI continue to grow, and we’re proud to be a part of such a strong community of innovators, researchers, and academics.”
The UBRI program is just one of several initiatives launched by Ripple to support the growth and development of blockchain and cryptocurrency technologies. The company has also been actively involved in lobbying efforts aimed at shaping government policies and regulations related to blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
