KuCoin ascertains Shibarium will go live forthcoming week

KuCoin’s official statement, released last Sunday, underscored that the eagerly awaited Shibarium layer-2 scaling solution will go live in the forthcoming week. The projected launch window coincides with the Blockchain Futurist Conference scheduled for August 15 and 16 in Toronto, where Shytoshi Kusama, the ecosystem’s lead developer, has hinted at the unveiling of Shibarium.

The crypto exchange has encouraged SHIB enthusiasts and investors to share their price expectations for the token following the release of Shibarium’s mainnet. Furthermore, KuCoin has positioned itself as a premier platform for users to buy and sell SHIB, bolstering its trading capabilities.

In response to KuCoin’s announcement, members of the Shiba Inu community, affectionately referred to as “ShibArmy,” have expressed their desire for KuCoin to consider listing Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) and Doge Killer (LEASH), two tokens associated with the ShibaSwap decentralized exchange. Notably, community members anticipate that demand for BONE, a ShibaSwap governance token, will escalate with the launch of Shibarium, as the layer-2 solution will utilize BONE for gas fees. As per community speculation, every SHIB holder would require BONE to facilitate transactions within the Shibarium ecosystem.

One anonymous community member went so far as to propose that BONE could potentially evolve into the “new ETH” due to its envisaged role within Shibarium. Additionally, Ringoshi Tōitsu suggested that KuCoin consider collaborating with the Unification project development team should they contemplate listing BONE.

Despite these public appeals, KuCoin has refrained from responding to the unofficial requests, leaving the community eagerly awaiting potential developments. It is worth noting that similar requests were made to KuCoin in May, but the exchange has not yet listed BONE.

Adding to the intrigue, recent developments in the Shiba Inu ecosystem include an announcement by Kusama that the Shiba Inu team intends to relinquish ownership of the token upon minting the remaining 20 million BONE tokens. This manoeuvre has sparked speculation among SHIB proponents that it could compel other major exchanges, including Binance, to consider listing BONE.

With the launch of Shibarium on the horizon, the Shiba Inu community remains on the edge of their seats, awaiting further announcements from both the project’s developers and prominent cryptocurrency exchanges. As the blockchain world eagerly anticipates the unfolding of these events, the influence of the Shiba Inu ecosystem on the broader crypto landscape continues to capture attention.
