Top XRP Lawyer Urges Elon Musk to Incorporate XRP Into X Payment System
In the aftermath of Ripple’s recent legal victory against the SEC, attorney Fred Rispoli has called on Elon Musk to incorporate XRP into X Payments system. In a post shared on social media platform X, Rispoli urged Musk to make a bold move by announcing the integration of XRP into the payments platform, especially in light of the recent setback to the SEC in the Ripple lawsuit. The ruling by Judge Analisa Torres favoured Ripple, negating the proposed $2 billion penalty and imposing a $125 million penalty instead. This ruling also revealed no disgorgements for Ripple, indicating a significant win for the blockchain payments company.

Rispoli emphasized that current sales of XRP do not necessarily violate federal law post-complaint, hinting at potential legal battles in the future. The recent ruling saw an 18% surge in XRP’s value, reflecting the positive market sentiment following the outcome. While Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has not responded to Rispoli’s statement, his endorsement could further bolster market confidence in XRP.
Price Action and Market Trends
At the time of writing, the price of XRP had surged by 18.37% over the past day to reach $0.6064, with a 24-hour trading range of $0.4942 to $0.6408. This upward movement aligns with the relief provided by the lawsuit outcome, although it’s important to note that both parties have 60 days to appeal the ruling. Market participants are eagerly awaiting the SEC’s response to this development.
Additionally, data from Coinglass indicated a 47.40% increase in XRP’s futures open interest and a 474.34% surge in derivatives volume, further suggesting a bullish trend for Ripple’s cryptocurrency.
