Cardano’s Hoskinson Slams The Stake Pool Operators For Taking Cardano Private Issues To The Public

The recent act of the stake pool operators has not been going well with Cardano’s founder, Charles Hoskinson. Hoskinson has slammed the SPOs the second time for disclosing Private issues concerning Cardano.

Charles Hoskinson said:

“The headlines are now catastrophic bug Cardano. And that is what will stick in consumers’ minds, and it will take a lot of marketing and discussion to be able to get that to unstick,”

He further said: “you read about them (testnet) in the crypto media they’re not big events, and they in no way, in any way harm Cardano itself no funds have been lost, no keys have been hacked, no nodes have collapsed. Right now today, transactions are being processed on Cardano just like they were the day before… now people are saying  Vasil is probably not going to launch this year is bizarre because we are almost there.”

The Cardano’s founder said it is a strange thing to think the Cardano will not appear on the mainnet this year as most of the necessary upgrades have been run.

Negative Statement About Vasil Can Make Users Lose Interest In Cardano

The headlines made about Cardano from the comment of the SPOs can make the ADA investors think the Vasil will no more come live on the mainnet.

According to Hoskinson, “Vasil features are there, they work, they have been tested thoroughly, and there is a high degree of confidence in them. There is no reason for Vasil not to get over the finish line imminently, “

Hoskinson stated the consequence of taking confidential matters like the Cardano Vasil to Twitter, Reddit and others is making people see the project as less-commercial interest and this will ultimately cause less adoption for Cardano.

“Testnets are constructed and destroyed all the time in this industry. That’s [testnet’s] point; they are used to playing around with things and breaking things […] [Failed testnets] will in no way harm Cardano itself,” Hoskinson was quoted as saying.

Vasil Will Run Smoothly On The Mainnet

Charles said any stake pool operators that have issues with the new version node, node 1.35.3 should them interested in what they want to test.

He also said extensive testing has already been done on Vasil by top professionals who have been in the game of testing projects for a long time.

He added that the fact nodes 1.35.1 and 1.35.2 testnet failed does not mean Vasil will not run smoothly on the mainnet.

Charles Hoskinson’s Decision Was Countered

As stated by the recent tweet, Hoskinson urges all the SPOs community on the network to start upgrading their node to version 1,35.3 in preparation for the Vasil.

“Let’s try this again. If you’re an SPO, then please start the upgrade path. 1.35.3 is heavily tested, and it’s more likely than not going to be the version for the HFC,” Hoskinson tweeted.

Following the announcement, Andrew Westberg, the Chief Technical Officer at ProjectNEWM, immediately urged SPOs not to heed Hoskinson’s call.

Westberg told SPOs “NOT [to] upgrade to 1.35.3 on mainnet yet.” He noted that Hoskinson is not on the same page as his test team and Developers.  Westberg advised SPOs to first run the newly released node on the testnet before running it on the mainnet.
