XRP Ledger Updates Its Validators From “nay” To “yay” On The XLS20 Amendment In Support Of the Community

The XRPL Labs announces to update its validators from nay to yay on the XLS20 amendment.

The update was announced on the XRPL Labs official Twitter handle, the XRPL validators will be updated from ‘nay’ to ‘yay’ on the XLS20 amendment as the vote has already gotten 50% “yay”.

It is worth noting that Ripple’s XRPL Labs are not always involved in the affairs of the community, precisely matter regards to voting on the network but the recent amendment vote happens to have caught Ripple’s XRPL Labs’ attention.

The basic reason for the amendment is to aid the network upgrade to introduce NFT capabilities in the XRPL Ledger.

It is worth noting that the XRPL Ledger has been having an uninterrupted service since its launching in 2012. For this reason, the community has confidence in its handling of NFT functionality and other smart contracts focused he making the network more expensive.

More also, the Labs has previously backed the community in some other amendment voting such as the issue of increasing the number of network signers from 8 to 32 and about automatic creation of a check cashing trust line to aid network functionalities to create a user-friendly system.

For the two sets of amendments, XRPL voted “yay” votes in favour of the community.

XRPL Labs Recently Announced The Rollout Of Hook Builder

As recently reported by Cryptolifedigital, WietseWind, a lead developer at the XRPL Labs announced the rollout of Hooks Builder, a web-based development environment that allows developers to test, debug, and deploy Layer-1 smart contracts on the XRPL.

More also, he stated “One of the biggest things for the XRP Ledger (but I’m biased). Today the world can build “layer 1” smart contracts on the XRP Ledger, with our now published browser-based “Hooks Builder”, on our live “Hooks Testnet”. All the Hooks source code is now public + PR to rippled.”
