Vueling has partnered with BitPay and UATP to add support Crypto Mode Of Payment

As stated in the official news published by Universal Air Travel Plan (UATP) on June 16 Vueling has partnered with BitPay and UATP to add support to cryptocurrencies which is a big catch for the Doge and SHIB.

According to the updates the world’s largest provider of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies service payment services, have reached an agreement permitting the airline’s customers to make their payment via digital currencies.

To offer this service, the airline will use UATP’s technology,  the global payment network for the airline industry, which allows a fast integration process. Thanks to this alliance, Vueling will become the first low-cost airline in Europe to accept cryptocurrencies as a payment method. This service will be available at the beginning of 2023 at www.vueling.com, and for individuals only.

What is Vueling?

Vueling, part of the IAGF group, is the main player in European connectivity which makes it a key company for economic and tourism development. For Summer 2022, the company has a network of ver 330 short and medium-haul routes in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East, which are operated with a fleet of Airbus A319, A320, A320neo, and A321 models.

This is an international payment solution owned and functions by the world’s airlines and accepted by thousands of merchants of air, travel, and rail agency payment.

What is BitPay?

It was founded as far back as 2011, it pioneered blockchain payment processing with the mission of changing how businesses and people transact and store money. Its business solution has done away with transaction hack, it also reduces the cost of payment processing, and enables borderless payments in cryptocurrency, among other services.

In addition to the above features of the BitPay, it also offers:

Ticket prices will be displayed in Euros and customers will be licensed to pay for their flight from more than 100 wallets and choose between 13 different cryptocurrencies like Dogecoin (DOGE), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Shiba Inu (SHIB)  Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), and Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC).

  • Paying with cryptocurrencies is a push transaction, meaning the user sends the exact amount, rather than a withdrawal-like traditional credit or debit cards, eliminating transaction fraud and phishing.
