The Released Node 1.35.0 Servers As The Important Milestone For The Mainnet Vasil Release

Cardano team is working tirelessly underground to make sure the launch of the Vasil hard Fork is made possible at the set date. Given this, IOG, the company behind the Cardano’s research and development has stated on their Twitter page the release of a new node. As stated by the IOG, the release of the new node is an important milestone for the about-to-happen upgrade.

According to the tweet, the IOG stated further that the Vasil upgrade was named in honor of a long-standing member of the community Vasil St Dabov. It is created to bring significant performance and capability upgrades to Cardano.

As stated initially during the postponement that occurred, the Vasil hard could not occur due to outstanding items that need to be run to confirm everything is working as expected. As you know that Cardano developers will always calm down in writing their code as stated by the IOG CEO, in other to protect their user’s integrity.

According to the IOG, the code is complete on all the core Cardano software and the testing of the new Plutus v2 code (including new CIPs which significantly improve smart contract performance) has been successful and delivered very positive results in terms of performance and improved cost.

What Next after

IOG says their SPO community has been alerted a few minutes ago, supporting the testnet that the new node is prepared to be launched on the testnet. The testnet SPOs will be given enough time and once over 75% of block-producing SPOs on the testnet have been upgraded – those needed for the satisfactory chain density for the hard fork, the testnet update proposal will be submitted which we require one full epoch to take effect.

According to the team, the work of the Vasil Hard has been the toughest program of development and integration to date, from several angles. It is very challenging to the extent that it requires not only significant work from core teams but also close coordination across the ecosystem.

According to the IOG, nothing can be done without the consent of the developer and the SPO community.

As previously said by IOHK CEO, Cardano’s  Developer will always take their time to write code to prevent the long-term issue. They promised to frequently update the community on further development.
