According to the recent development in the Terra Classic community, which suggested that Gadikian’s payment should be put to a stop and he should be paid for only January while February and March should withhold.

There is presently a lot of debate on the recent proposal 11316 which suggested that the Gadikan should be ceased and sent into the TGF multisig wallet. The author disclosed that the step is necessary due to Gadikian’s recent attacks against Terra Classic validators.

Gadikian’s Payment To Cease

Recall that Gadikian brought the community’s attention to worrying Allnodes business operations and high voting power. Notably, he revealed that the node hosting service provider held the seed phrases of its validator customers despite claiming to run a non-custodial service. As highlighted by the National Labs founder, it represented a significant centralization risk in the event of an exploit.

Following the incident, the developer launched an awareness, trying to get the community members to re-delegate their Terra Luna Classic (LUNC). However, it is worth noting that some community members did not take kindly to Gadikian’s approach.

It is worth noting that the dilemma case presently in the community has rouned about Gadikian’s announcement of his withdrawal from the Layer 1focussed development team regarding the statement made by fellow developer Tobias Anderson, saying that Allnodes having a 40% voting power on the chain was not a problem.

Notably, proposal 11316 has left the community split on who is in contract with Gadikian and in the right place to terminate the agreement.

According to TerraCVita, another independent Terra Classic development group, the contract is between the TGF and Gadikian, and it does not feel that the community should interfere. Consequently, it voted “no with a veto.”

Community React To The Proposal 11316

In response to the debate on the ground, DemonMonkey777, co-owner of LuncLive validator, pokes holes at TerraCVita’s claim, asserting that the TGF has an agreement with only the LUNC community and it was the community that approved the funding of the Layer 1 team. Consequently, the network validator argues that the community contracted Gadikian, not the TGF.

Also, the LuncLive co-owner JBooze tweeted buttering the DemonMonkey777, saying that the validator highlighted that the TGF is a custodian of funds only and remains subject to the directives of the community.

Furthermore, the Crypto Influencer Classy, disagreed with the proposal, saying that Gadikian will get paid if he works despite the disagreement and vice versa. However, it is not apparent that the developer will not be paid if he does not work per the current agreement and if it is within the rights of the TGF to withhold his pay.

He quoted the agreement said by the Joint L1 Task Force, saying; “Distribution of payments will happen monthly at the end of every calendar month given appropriate milestones have been achieved, approval from the oversight committee, and approval from Terra Grants Foundation signers of the multisig,”
