Shiba Inu’s Head Developer Addresses Challenges and Highlights Commitment to Shibarium’s Future

In a recent development, Shiba Inu’s head developer, Shytoshi Kusama, has addressed concerns surrounding Shibarium, the platform’s latest project. Kusama clarified that challenges emerged due to an unexpected surge in users, causing disruptions and downtimes. He reassured the community that efforts are underway to enhance the platform’s capacity and manage the unprecedented demand.

Kusama, recognized as the leader of the Shiba Inu community, acknowledged that the technical issues were not due to flaws in Shibarium itself but were a consequence of the overwhelming user traffic that the team hadn’t foreseen. He highlighted their ongoing collaboration with Alchemy, securing 400 million compute units monthly, but during Shibarium’s launch, a staggering 160 million compute units were utilized within just 30 minutes. Kusama compared these figures to top-tier layer-2 networks, illustrating the platform’s remarkable adoption.

Despite initial challenges, Kusama expressed confidence in the project’s progress, stating that the bridging process is functioning smoothly. He addressed concerns about misleading information circulating within the community, stating unequivocally that there is no bridge issue and investor funds are secure. Lucie, a Shiba Inu marketing expert, raised awareness about the spread of misleading information by certain individuals aiming to exploit the situation.

In a bid to manage the surge in user numbers, Kusama affirmed the Shiba Inu team’s commitment to upgrading the platform. He praised the robustness of the Shiba Inu community, which led to a rapid adoption rate, including deposits of 1,000 ETH and 600,000 BONE within the first 15 minutes of launch.

Kusama warns against unofficial links

To safeguard investors, Kusama issued a warning against unofficial links, advising the community to only use Shib.io to access information. Malicious entities often take advantage of such situations to deceive uninformed investors.

Kusama concluded by urging patience from the community as the team works diligently with partners like Unification to scale the platform and ultimately achieve their goal of perpetual decentralization.
