Ripple Former CTO, Jed McCaleb Emptied His Wallet Till He Has Less Than 50 XRP Left

Recall the Friday statement of the former CTO at Ripple, Jed McCaleb, when he was having a total of 5 million XRP, he said he will keep the remaining amount just in case the digital token rallied in the long run.

 As covered by Cryptotowncrier, McCaleb said this in a Zoom call. He stressed that “If you think about it, it would be really stupid if I sell it all. I mean, what if it does go to $589 a token? I could be RICH!”

“I dunno, maybe it’s this inflation, maybe the cost of gas, you know. But I just have this feeling that holding the rest of this XRP is gonna give me and my family more security.”

As stated by the XRPScan, the co-founder and chief technology officer at Ripple, Jed McCaleb initiated a very big transaction on the 17th of July 2022 which claimed a total of 1,108,826 XRP. Following his last major sale, the wallet received a few amounts of XRP, making his balance 46 XRP only at the time of filing this report.

Jed McCaleb Left Ripple Labs In 2013

It is good to know that Stellar was founded by Ripple co-founder and its former CTO Jed McCaleb after he left Ripple Labs in 2013, a year after founding Ripple, over discrepancies with the other co-founder, Chris Larsen.

The record revealed that Jed McCaleb, since the incident in Ripple in 2014, has been emptying his wallet of 9 Billion XRP in million after million. His huge holding of XRP made him the Ripple co-founder.
