Shibarium updates dives positive attention towards Shiba Inu
Shibarium, a second layer built on top of Ethereum, aims to shed the “meme coin” stigma often associated with Shiba Inu. Davinci Jeremie highlighted the significance of this development, stating that if the layer-2 network functions as expected, it could lead to a positive transition for SHIB. The testnet for Shibarium is set to go live on Friday, providing an opportunity for users to assess its performance and potential impact on the SHIB ecosystem.
The marketing specialist for Shiba Inu, Lucie, previously stated that hundreds of projects are expected to join the ecosystem following the mainnet launch of Shibarium. Additionally, a panel of Fintech specialists predicted that the project would trigger a rally in SHIB’s price.
Shibarium launch to take place in Toronto
While the precise date of the Shibarium mainnet launch remains undisclosed, SHIB’s lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama, revealed that it is scheduled to take place during ETH Toronto. The Blockchain Futurist Conference, scheduled for August 15-16 in Toronto, is expected to witness the unveiling of Shibarium. Notably, Kusama extended an invitation to Elon Musk, possibly signalling growing recognition and interest in the Shiba Inu project.
Shibarium’s beta testnet, codenamed Puppynet, went live in January, attracting significant engagement from various wallets. At the time of writing, approximately 17,063,400 interactions have been recorded on the testnet, with the total transactions on the network reaching 34,269,221.
