A New Cross Ecosystem Dialogue Begins

A major collaborative initiative has emerged within the blockchain industry with the launch of the Cross Ecosystem Roundtable Talk. This new discussion format brings together subject matter experts from different blockchain networks to explore shared challenges and exchange solutions. The first edition features contributors from the Cardano and Polkadot ecosystems and focuses on one of the most complex issues in decentralized governance: the long term sustainability of decentralized treasuries.

Why Decentralized Treasury Sustainability Matters

Decentralized treasuries have become central to modern blockchain governance. They fund development, community projects, research, and long term ecosystem growth. Yet as networks mature, questions arise about how these treasuries can be maintained in a healthy and enduring way. Treasury spending, revenue mechanisms, and community decision making all intersect to shape the financial future of these ecosystems. The roundtable aims to define what sustainability means, why it is needed, and whether it should be an ultimate goal or simply a guidepost for healthier governance design.

Cardano and Polkadot Bring Their Expertise to the Table

The roundtable includes a diverse group of voices across both ecosystems. Representing Cardano are Adam Dean, an IT consultant at DripDropz, Beatrice Anihiri, founder of Konsensis, Encrypt, the GM of Ecosystem at Emurgo, and Hinson Sidan, co founder of Delta DeFi. From the Polkadot ecosystem, participants include Zendetta, governance lead at the Web Three Foundation, Alice Und Bob, an ecosystem developer, Lemonjelly, a governance specialist, and Ugur, an on chain governance researcher. Each contributor brings first hand insight into how their communities navigate treasury design, proposal evaluation, incentive structures, and long term financial planning.

Exploring Key Questions and Emerging Solutions

The conversation is expected to touch on several pivotal themes. These include how treasuries generate revenue, how funding decisions can remain transparent and fair, and what mechanisms can ensure that ecosystems do not deplete their resources too quickly. Another focus is whether the concept of sustainability should always be prioritized, or whether treasuries should instead be viewed as growth engines meant to accelerate innovation while they exist. By comparing Cardanoโ€™s treasury operated through its governance framework with Polkadotโ€™s on chain treasury model, participants can identify common pain points and potential pathways forward.

A Platform for Open Community Participation

The roundtable encourages public engagement, inviting viewers to follow the discussion live and contribute their thoughts. As blockchain networks continue evolving toward greater decentralization, forums like this help cultivate shared knowledge, strengthen cross chain collaboration, and refine the next generation of governance models.
